PYD: Sulaymaniyah's attack is tantamount to war against Kurds

The General Council of PYD through a statement to the public opinion, denounced the attack on Sulaymaniyah International Airport, and confirmed that it is a part of  previous attacks against NE Syria, Şengal, and southern Kurdistan.

PYD statement read, "Last night, the Turkish occupation state launched an air attack on Sulaymaniyah Civil Airport, according to what was confirmed by official sources in Sulaymaniyah Governorate."

The statement added: "We, in the Democratic Union Party (PYD), condemn in the strongest terms this blatant attack on the Sulaymaniyah civilian airport, and we consider it a part of  previous attacks against NE Syria, Şengal, and southern Kurdistan region of Iraq from Zakho to Dohuk, Erbil, Makhmour, and Sulaymaniyah.

The statement indicated that the attack targets the will of the people of the region and their just cause in addition to the gains of the Kurds and the general democratic forces in the region."

The Democratic Union Party stressed the need not to postpone the unity of the Kurdish community, and stressed that: "The unity of the Kurdish position and its national forces must not be postponed any further, because what the authorities of central tyranny and the forces of darkness are doing is threatening and targeting the general population of the Kurds and the general forces of enlightenment in the region that represent the will of life."

The statement of the Democratic Union Party affirmed, "Our party supports the national position of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, and we affirm that what is required at this sensitive and historical stage is that the Kurdish national and democratic forces reject their differences and unify their position in a manner befitting what has been achieved and what must be achieved."
