Dozens of mothers of peace in Afrin region gathered in the main square of Berkhdan camp in Favin district in al-Shahba canton to make a statement.

The mother of the martyr Jan Khurt, Asia Abdo, made the statement, saying: "The Turkish occupation seeks to displace us again, after committing many massacres in front of the eyes of the international forces that did not move a finger, the occupation took its silence as an approval to continue committing more crimes and annihilating the Kurdish people in the region.”

And she continued: "The attacks launched by the Turkish occupation on the 20th of this month are a continuation of its occupation plan. After many plays that began to support the so-called Syrian revolution, and through ISIS, today the occupation relied on the Istanbul bombing to hit the people's gains in Rojava."

And the mother, Asia, added: "These attacks are not born today, since we were displaced to al-Shahba canton, the occupation targets us on a daily basis, and committed many massacres against us, including the children's massacre in Tal Rifaat and the Aqiba massacre."

Asia Abdo denounced these crimes and attacks, saying: "We, as mothers of peace for the Afrin region, condemn these attacks aimed at erasing the presence of the people in the region. We affirm that we are continuing on the path of resistance against the policies of the occupation, and we will not give up our desire, which is to liberate Afrin from the filth of the occupation and return to it."

At the end of her speech, Asia Abdo called on the international forces and the Security Council to carry out their duty and hold the Turkish occupation state accountable .
