In this context, the jurist and legal advisor to the Democratic Civil Administration of Manbij and its countryside, Muhammad Sheikho, said: "Chemical weapons are internationally prohibited weapons, because of their ability to kill and destroy, where their destructive effects extend for a long time."

He explained, " There is an international agreement signed in 1992, which stipulates the prevention, stockpiling and use of chemical weapons, which entered into force in 1997."

Sheikho believes that "the Turkish occupation state used these weapons due to complicity of regional and international forces."

As for the lawyer Ibrahim Al-Mashi, he considered that "the Turkish occupation state has not stopped since 2019, committing war crimes  against the peoples of NE Syria and the peoples of Başûr."

He added: "The silence of regional and international countries indicates its cahoots with Turkey, as chemical weapons are manufactured by America, Germany and France, and used against the Kurds.
