AANES hands over 12 women, 37 children of ISIS families to Germany and the Netherlands

The representative of the German government and consular assistant for the German people abroad Manja Kliese, and the Dutch Special Envoy to Syria, Emile de Bont, visited the Center for Foreign Relations in North and East Syria, on Tuesday.

The German and Dutch delegations were received by the Joint Vice-President Robel Baho, the member of the Administrative Board, Khaled Ibrahim, the member of the Women's Protection Units office, Lana Hassan, and the deputy for the Women's Authority, Howaida Salim Muhammad.

During the visit, Manja Kliese said: "On behalf of the German general government, I want to thank the Autonomous Administration for welcoming us once again to retrieve our citizens from the camps of NE Syria, we have repatriated 108 German families to Germany."

Kliese explained that the perpetrators of the crimes will face court in Germany, and noted that "these children will have the opportunity to reintegrate into society, and we are also grateful for the battle that was fought here against ISIS, which is a threat to the whole world."

Kliese confirmed that Germany is ready to support the international coalition against ISIS in the regions of North and East Syria, and to help the region become more secure.

In turn, the Dutch special envoy to Syria said: "I am here for the third time for a clear and well-defined official order, to receive in this mission a number of ISIS nationals who were residing in Al-Hol camp. This is the specific legal consular mission. My government and the Dutch court have undertaken this work Legal status should guarantee the condition of these people.” He confirmed that the Autonomous Administration cooperated with them well and directly, and said: " we just had a good meeting, during which we touched on brief details of the difficult situation inside and next to the detention centers, in addition to the burdens that fall on the shoulders of the detainees."
