Samira Mobaied confirms that Damascus- Ankara seeks in foiling of establishing modern Syria

There have been numerous bilateral meetings that brought together the Minister of Foreign of the Damascus Government, Faisal Miqdad with his counterparts, including Russia, Iraq, Jordan, Iran, India, Armenia, Maldives and the United Arab Emirates.

The Ministers for Foreign Affairs of the States of Astana (Russia, Iran and Turkey) also held a ministerial meeting on the Syrian file on the sidelines of the high-level week of the United Nations General Assembly.

Foreign Ministers of Russia, Iran and Turkey Sergei Lavrov, Hussein Amir Abdullahian and Mevlut Cavusoglu met after the photo shoot, in talks behind closed doors.

Endeavours to stabilize gains

The Syrian politician and academy, Dr. Samira Mobaied, spoke to ANHA’s agency about these meetings, saying: "Many of these meetings were attempts to show movements in the Syrian political path on the margins of an international event, such as the General Assembly of the United Nations, but they effectively did not exceed this threshold and cannot be regarded as meetings linked to important decisions regarding the Syrian issue."

"These countries are seeking directly to stabilize their gains on Syrian territory and to use the political papers they control as lobbying papers in other files for the benefit of these countries. They have nothing to do with building a modern Syrian state and realizing their children's aspirations. Therefore, we cannot in any way rely on what these States can provide to Syrians because what has taken place over the past decade has been an indication that no one can misread that the interests of Syrians are completely absent from these frameworks. "

Samira Mobaied decries the participation of the "Coalition": they have no place except for destruction and chaos

The Syrian politician commented on the participation of the so-called Syrian Coalition in the meetings of the United Nations General Assembly, stating in this context: "It is basically reprehensible that the Coalition has been invited by an international organization to act for the security and stability of Syrians. That entity has demonstrated ideological and military polarities far from the possibility of achieving any stability for Syrians and is no different from the structure and approach of the Assad regime accused of humanitarian crimes, The United Nations continues to be mistaken for the future actors of the conflict. whereas they have no place other than to destroy, disorder, retreat and destroy society at all levels.”

Bargaining and trading the suffering of Syrians

These international meetings during the years of the Syrian crisis, particularly the Astana route, have been overcome by the bargaining and bargaining between these States at the expense of the Syrian people.

During the Astana meetings, both Russia and the Turkish occupation exchanged spheres of influence among themselves, ordering the Turkish occupying state to hand over the areas to the Damascus Government in exchange for giving Turkey the green light to occupy many Syrian areas. Turkey occupied Afrin in exchange for the control of Eastern Ghouta by the Government of Damascus forces. Turkey also occupied Serêkaniyê and Girê Spîin exchange for the Government of Damascus' forces taking control of areas in the countryside of Idlib and Aleppo.

Samira Mobaied said: "Since its inception, these paths have been set up to bargain and trade the suffering of Syrians for the obvious reason of the absence of a party that is upholding the demands of the majority of the Syrian people and is one of the civilians affected by the parties to the military and ideological conflict.

But it is a failed endeavour because Syrians in areas beyond the regime's control have taken ownership and express a full attachment to sovereignty and the quest for change, in the North and East of Syria on the one hand but also through civil movement throughout Syria without exception ".

'Pushing Syrians to emigrate and actually die '

Samira Mebayd explained: "There are endeavours to force Syrians to migrate by restricting them in all regions and pushing them to die in order not to claim their rights. All Governments that are directly or indirectly involved in the crimes committed against each Syrian, above all the Assad regime, which is one of the worst models of Governments that has led to the displacement of half of the Syrian people and the impoverishment and humiliation of the other half to the point where every Syrian today aspires to survive himself and his children and this will be established only with the end of today's catastrophic system and the building of a viable and sustainable State. "
