Iraqi journalist: Turkey seeks to spread wreak havoc between Iraqis

The Iraqi writer and journalist, Faqiq Yazidi, stressed that it was the regional actor who played a major role in fuelling the situation and deepening the tension between the Iraqi political forces and components. He pointed out that regional countries headed by Turkey did not want stability for Iraq and were looking for their interests.

In the past days, Iraq has witnessed a series of violence, resulting in at least 20 deaths, following clashes between supporters of the Sadri movement on the one hand, and security forces and supporters of the Framework's coordination coalition on the other.

In this context, Iraqi writer and journalist, Faqi Yazidi, says: "The Iraqi crisis has a number of reasons, including for the Iraqi parties and forces themselves, among them are reasons for regional and international interaction, and of course recent developments have been the culmination of strife and civil war, but in the end, the voice of wisdom and reason, Mr. Muqtada al-Sadr, leader of the Sadr Stream, came to mind and wisdom. and seemingly realized the reality of the slide paid to him by the parties of a local Iraqi force, allied with him to drag the Shiites into civil war among themselves.”

Yazidi added to ANHA’s agency that "there is certainly a regional actor who has played a great role in fuelling the situation in deepening the tension between Iraqi political forces from various homes, whether also from the Shia, Sunni and Kurdish House, there are regional states that do not want to stabilize Iraq, and their interests are achieved, and Turkey is certainly not far from that."

Turkey plays a negative role

On Turkish aspirations in the region, the Iraqi writer and journalist says: "Turkey today is one of the countries occupying vast territories in the Kurdistan region of Iraq, and one of the countries playing a negative role in the region in general. The aspirations sought by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, to restore the glories of the Ottoman Empire, are at the expense of the countries of the region, at the expense of Iraq and Syria, and the rest of countries with a Turkish military presence."

Yazidi adds that "Turkey's presence in the region certainly wreaks havoc on those countries, provides dens of terror and armed factions that are lawless and that act against the will of the Iraqi people and the peoples of the region as a whole".
