​​​​​​​ISIS mercenary cells attack the forces participating in "Humanity and Security" campaign

Today (September 8), the Media Center of the Internal Security Forces - North and East Syria issued a written statement to public opinion, in which it also revealed the outcome of the 14th day of the second phase of the "Humanity and Security" campaign.

The statement reads:

"After obtaining information confirming that some ISIS elements in al-Hol camp attempted to escape, our forces, with the support of the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Women's Protection Units, carried out a special operation, in the fifth sector of al-Hol camp at one o'clock after midnight yesterday.

During the special operation, our forces were attacked by members of the cells, where the attack was responded to, which resulted in the killing of an ISIS cell member dressed as a woman, and trying to escape outside the camp, and 6 ISIS cell members were arrested, including 2 women, and our forces seized 2 weapons of type AK-47 and an explosive belt.

The Humanity and Security Campaign, in its second phase, is entering its fifteenth day and continues until the results that achieve stability and peace for the camp residents are achieved.

The outcome of the fourteenth day of "Humanity and Security" campaign in its second phase:

The arrest of 8 ISIS mercenaries and seize of 3 AK-47 weapons, an RPG-7 launcher and its fillings, and 2 explosive belts.

In addition to 12 grenades, 25 pistol bullets, silencers, and many phones and laptops."
