Humanity and Security campaign enters the second week...What happened during the first week?

Al-Hol camp, the most dangerous camp in the world, consists of 9 main sectors, inhabited by more than 54,390 people, among Syrians, Iraqis, foreigners, wives and children of ISIS mercenaries. ISIS cells carried out 43 operations, during which they killed 44 people, including women and children, using silenced pistols and sharp instruments, and threw the victims' bodies into sewers to hide the traces of their crimes.

On August 25, the General Command of the Internal Security Forces announced, during a press statement, the launch of the second phase of the "Humanity and Security" campaign in al-Hol camp to pursue ISIS mercenary cells and rid the residents of its evil and terror.

Within a week of the campaign's launch, the security forces found many conclusive evidence proving the Turkish occupation state's relationship with ISIS mercenaries.

The combing operations began on the first day of the campaign (August 25) at 5:00 in the morning, in the first sector for Iraqi refugees, by verifying and renewing the identity cards of the residents.

On August 26, the Internal Security Forces arrested 27 mercenaries from ISIS sleeper cells, and during their inspection of the first sector of al-Hol camp, they found 4 trenches that the mercenaries used for hiding.

On August 27, ISIS mercenary cells set fire to two tents in the first section, seriously wounding a girl named Zainab, who was subsequently transferred by the Kurdish Red Crescent to hospitals in the city of Hasaka.

In the afternoon hours, while renewing the data and records of the camp residents, ISIS families attacked two members of the Internal Security Forces while they were doing their duty, as a result of which Yara Sheikhmus and Shinda Ahmed were injured. The families of ISIS mercenaries also attacked an elderly Iraqi refugee (62 years old) while she was standing in the line to renew her data, as a result of which she was hit in the head.

On August 28, the Internal Security Forces announced arrest 6 mercenaries and the discovery of a trench and a secret center for ISIS mercenaries, in which they were brainwashing children and promoting extremist ideas.

In a final outcome for the fourth day, the Internal Security Forces announced the arrest of 12 suspects, 5 of whom confessed to belonging to ISIS mercenary cells, and removal of 37 tents used by the mercenaries to spread their extremist ideology, training places for them, and Sharia courts for torture and murder.

On August 29, the Internal Security Forces arrested 3 people, including a woman, who tried to escape during the continuous combing operations in the third sector, and found ISIS documents and currency, in addition to a number of phones, computers and hidden Iraqi communication lines. It also arrested several people suspected of belonging to ISIS mercenary cells, while the forces removed many empty tents.

In the final outcome of the fifth day of the "Humanity and Security" campaign, the Internal Security Forces announced the arrest of 23 suspected ISIS affiliations, and the removal of 23 tents, in addition to finding trenches used by ISIS mercenary cells.

* On August 30, the Internal Security Forces, during searches and searches in one of the tents, found and confiscated many equipment, such as mobile phones and their holsters, M-16 ammunition, knives, machetes and saws hidden underground, which the cells used in murder and torture.

In the final outcome of the sixth day, Internal Security Forces announced the arrest of 15 people suspected of belonging to ISIS mercenary cells, and found 3 trenches, an ammunition box, two military bags and a number of torture and killing tools, in addition to removing three tents.

* On August 31, a week after the launch of the "Humanitarian and Security" campaign, the Internal Security Forces entered the seventh sector, and before starting the search a special operation was carried out in the first sector in the early hours of the morning, during which they arrested 5 mercenaries and 7 suspects.

The database of camp residents is renewed daily to determine their numbers and nationalities to facilitate better organization in the camp in the future.

It is noteworthy that the first phase of the campaign started on March 28, 2021 and ended on April 2 of the same year, and resulted in the arrest of 125 mercenaries including 20 leaders.
