Ahmed: Autonomous administration is the only solution for Syrians

 The Democratic Civil Administration of Manbij and its countryside held a special meeting for women, to explain the latest political developments in north and east Syria.

The meeting, which was held in the presence of members of women's institutions and committees, and fighters of the Military Women's Council, in the meeting room of the Democratic Civil Administration building in the city center.

 The meeting began with the attendees standing for a minute of silence in honor of the souls of the martyrs, then the President of the Executive Board of the Syrian Democratic Council, Ilham Ahmed, explained the latest political developments in the region, saying: “Women are the most affected, and they are the ones who have suffered from scourge and tragedies as a result of the existing wars and the policies practiced by the patriarchal regime.  Noting that the more the war intensified, the more women were affected.

 She added: "The ongoing wars target and drain the energies of states and central regimes in the Middle East and in the world, and the existing regimes will not depend on the process of democratic change in their systems".

 She pointed out that this creates opportunities for women to organize themselves outside the framework of the patriarchal system, and said: "The development of the world and technology and the emergence of ideas for democratic movements calling for freedom opens the way for women to turn into a force and will to confront the policies of this patriarchal system."

 She drew attention to the fact that the existing crisis is an international global crisis, not a local and regional one, saying: "The global system suffers from a deep crisis. All countries that claim democracy, and that they have human rights or women's rights, and write books on women's rights, are the same countries that we have not seen or given women their legitimate rights.

 The head of the Executive Board of the Syrian Democratic Council, Ilham Ahmed, confirmed that everyone believes that the Autonomous Administration is the only solution that will save the Syrians from the authoritarian, dictatorial rule that the Turkish state uses as a stick and a means to control the fate of Syria, and said: "As we see, there is great popularity for this project, and women have a role  essential to its construction.
