SOHR documents Turkish crimes against occupied nature of Afrin

The Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries continue to obliterate the identity of occupied Afrin and sabotage its scenic nature, by deliberately cutting or burning forest trees for the purpose of turning them into charcoal or selling them in the markets of the occupied areas.

In this regard, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published today, on its official page on the virtual networking sites, a video showing the brutality of the mercenaries of the Turkish occupation in cutting down forest trees, the Turkish occupation unjustly cuts down fruitful perennial olive trees under the pretext of expanding and repairing roads, in addition to cutting down trees for the purpose of building settlements.

According to the statistics of the Human Rights Organization Afrin - Syria, the number of trees that the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries cut down during the years of its occupation reached 44,000, including 32,000 perennial olive trees, and more than 12,000 olive and forest trees were burned.
