On August 25, the Internal Security Forces launched the second phase of the "Humanitarian and Security" operation with the support of the Syrian Democratic Forces, the People's Protection Units (YPG), and the Women's Protection Units (YPJ), to eliminate ISIS mercenary cells after the escalation of killings and assassinations against the camp's residents .

The Internal Security Forces are continuing combing and inspection operations in search of ISIS mercenary cells on its sixth day, in the third sector of Iraqi refugees.

During the search operations, members of the Internal Security Forces found many equipment used by ISIS mercenary cells, such as mobile phones and their holsters, M-16 ammunition, knives, machetes and saws hidden underground and confiscated. The suspected tent owner was also arrested.

Violence escalated in al-Hol camp, the most dangerous camp in the world, early this year 2022, with the escalation of Turkish threats to occupy the regions of north and east Syria.

And ISIS mercenary cells active inside the camp and hidden from view, carried out 43 operations, during which they killed and executed 44 people from the camp residents, including 14 women and two children, using new methods they developed and using sharp tools such as those found today, in addition to using rifles and pistols with silencers, And torturing the victim and throwing them in sewage canals to hide the traces of their crimes.

The media center of the Internal Security Forces - North and East Syria said today, Tuesday, through a written statement: "The morning of the sixth day of the second phase of the humanitarian and security campaign, our forces found a mobile phone and an M-16 ammunition box."

He continued, "In addition to the tools of torture and killing that were used by the cell members to kill and torture, the owner of the tent in which these tools were seized was arrested."

According to the center, "these tools were professionally hidden underground."
