Roj News: A member of General Council of Freedom Movement was martyred in Sulaymaniya

Roj News Agency reported the martyrdom of a member of the General Council of the Kurdistan Society Freedom Movement (Freedom Movement), Suhail Khourshed, known as Mamosta Shamal, in an armed attack in front of his house in Sulaymaniya.

The agency said, "A member of the Kurdistan Society Movement (Freedom Movement) council and writer Suhail Khourshed, known as Mamousta Shamal was subjected to an assassination attempt in Kaviry district in front of his house, which led to his martyrdom instantly."

It is indicated that the city of Sulaymaniya in Başûr (South Kurdistan) has witnessed several assassination crimes, most notably the assassination of a member of PKK Martyrs' Families Committee in Southern Kurdistan, Shukry Sarhad, who was also subjected to an armed attack in the city of Sulaymaniya on September 17, 2021.

A drone belonging to the Turkish occupation state also targeted a car in Klar district of the city of Sulaymaniya, on June 17, 2022, which resulted in the martyrdom of the Vice-co-chair of the Executive Council in the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, Farhad Shibly and 3 others.
