Monthly balance of Turkish occupation attacks against Sherawa and Shahba

The balance of Turkish occupation attacks and shelling of occupied Afrin`s Sherawa district and Shahba canton has been released.

Throughout the month of July, 31 villages in Sherawa district and Shahba canton were subjected to indiscriminate shelling by heavy artillery. Massive damages were caused to people`s homes and properties due to the attacks.

The villages subjected to shelling are: Um Al-Qoura, Washiye, Bene, Aqibe, Sokhaneke(including its forrest), Belouniye, Ayn Daqne, Merenaz, Malikiyah, Til Qirah, Ziyarete, Tel Ejar, Irshadiye, Tinib, Minikh, Semouqa, Kafer Antoun, Tel Rifaat, Deer Jimeel, Shewarkha, Um Al-Hosh, Hesajik, Shekh Is, Tel Madiq, Tel Jijan, Ziwan, Tel Enab, Nerebiye, Hirbil, Meyase and Birj Qas.

Weapons used in the attacks: Howitzers, mortars, DShK machine gun, tanks and grenade launchers.

• Number of howitzer shells fired: (2,323)
• Number of tank shells fired: (165)
• Number of mortar shells fired: (633)

* Warplanes and UAV`s have been constantly hovering the skies over the whole region of Shahba and Sherawa.

* During this month, the Turkish occupation state and its mercenaries have mostly used UAV`s to attack the region. Tel Rifaat has especially witnessed several airstrikes carried out by UAV`s.

*During the course of this month, 4 attacks with suicide drones have been carried out against the region. As a result of these attacks, 2 soldiers of the Damascus government forces were injured.

*During the course of this month, 6 Afrin women were injured as a result of the shelling by the Turkish occupation against Shahba region. The injured women were targeted by the Turkish occupation between Shekh Is village and the city of Tel Rifaat.
