Qassas: Solution by adopting democracy and Kurdish issue

On the Tehran meeting, the Syrian opponent and the head of the Modernity and Democracy Party for Syria, Firas Qassas, spoke to ANHA’s agency, saying: "Turkey, Iran and Russia have different motives, to be hostile to the experience of the Democratic Autonomous Administration, and at the heart of it are its Kurdish pioneers. If Iran's desire is to end the Syrian event for the benefit of the regime completely and preventing the experiment from transferring and concepts, and perhaps the fear of possible dynamics in Eastern Kurdistan, is what makes the Iranians hostile to the forces of the Autonomous Administration and stand by Turkey and Russia. In the course of its attempt to form the international system in a way that restores it as an international pole vis-à-vis the United States.He explained, "The Russian Federation does not hold a fundamental position of an ideological nature that is hostile to the Kurdish issue, nor the theory of Autonomous Administration, nor even the federal logic. Qassas added, "The issue in Turkey is different. It is of a structural ideological nature rooted in a wide sector of the Turkish political class in general, and in the Justice and Development government in particular, and what adds and complicates this nature is its employment in the context of distorted and lame democracy.”

In this context, he continued, "If Erdogan and the Justice and Development party, while building their political position on the Autonomous Administration and the Kurds, are twisting what leads to their possession of an Ottoman nostalgia scheduled with a racist supremacist position, then his keenness to stay in power and his appeal to a widespread Torani position in Turkey to benefit from it in the upcoming elections, and referred it to the internal economic failure represented by unprecedented rates of inflation, the depreciation of the Turkish lira, the expansion of the poverty class and unemployment rates. Referring all of this and covering it with a declaration of war on the administration’s regions and their antagonism is what complicates the structural ideological nature and makes Turkey a spearhead targeting the administration’s experience and its effective nucleus that crystallized It was embodied by the Kurdish component.

And Qassas added, "Yes, the motives and stakes of the three countries differ in hostility to north and east Syria, but they all agree and bet on the will of hegemony that moves each of them, and that is exactly what makes them conspire against the experience of the Autonomous Administration and the Kurds at its core."

Despite the differences between the Astana Trio (Russia - Turkey - Iran) and the Turkish support for the mercenary occupation against Russia and Iran in Syria, Libya and Azerbaijan, and the talk of these two countries about Ankara's support for ISIS and Al-Qaeda, interests push them to agree.

In this context, the head of the Modernity and Democracy Party said: "They criticize Turkey, and they are its partners in the process of hegemony over the Syrian situation, and even in its expansionist aspirations and its dissatisfaction with its regional and international status. I do not exaggerate if I say that the three countries see themselves as imperial powers with an imperial past that must continue and be manifested. in the present and in the future.”

He added, "How do they criticize it, when it is before that a state that has relations and intersects with them in positions and meets with them on interests, and it is difficult for the principles of policy-making to rise above the level of interests, if there are decisive principles for both Iran and Russia that make them distance themselves and take a distance from the Turkish policy regarding our region, which is less than its criticism and criticism of its terrorism and its use of ISIS terrorism against our experience, not to mention that the leaders of the three countries are similar in terms of psychological and personal composition, and in terms of the problematic relationship of each of them with democracy.

He explained, "Certainly, we will not expect Iran and the Russian Federation to take a principled position on Turkey if it does not become contrary to its interests and is not capable of exchanging files, interests and areas of dominance with it in the Syrian file and elsewhere. Unfortunately, this is very unlikely if not completely impossible."

Qassas believes that "the issues of the Middle East cannot be resolved, and the peoples of this region of the world cannot enjoy without resolving the Kurdish issue in a just and democratic manner, meeting the inspirations of the Kurdish will, and placing it on an equal footing with other peoples of the region, in terms of its right." self-determination, respect for its will and the way he manages its affairs, which it chooses.

He continued, "The Arab, Turkish and Iranian peoples were it not for the authoritarian control, ideological distortion, coercion and oppression to which they are exposed directly and indirectly, all of them with the rights of the Kurds and with equality and rich interaction with them. Peoples do not have a racist spirit by nature. Rather, racism is created, pumped and injected like poison by the regimes. It is made with discriminatory education, media and art, which are forced to transmit and leak false values, racist laws and policies, and create a separation of interests between these peoples and the Kurds by using populist political discourses that only want to preserve on the tyranny and authoritarianism that characterize the regimes of Middle Eastern countries that are fighting the Kurds.

The Syrian dissident and head of the Modernity and Democracy Party for Syria, Firas Qassas, concluded his speech, saying, "There is certainly no solution, democracy, justice, development and prosperity in the Middle East without solving the Kurdish issue a just solution that responds to the aspirations of the Kurdish and achieves its goals, and everything else will only lead to ruin.”
