Representative of Al-Sharabain tribe supports Iraq's demands to expel Turkish forces

 On the 20th of July, the Turkish occupation state committed a massacre in the village of Barkh in Zakho of Dohuk Governorate in Başûr (southern Kurdistan), which resulted in the killing of 9 Iraqi citizens and the injury of 23 others.

 The representative of the Al-Sharabain tribe in Syria, Thabet Al-Jawhar, denounced the Turkish occupation state’s perpetration of the Zakho massacre, and said: “We Arab tribes in north and east and Syria in particular and Syria in general condemn this criminal act, and stand by the Iraqi government and people to expel the Turkish forces that threaten the security and stability of the region in general."

 He stressed that "the attacks launched by the Turkish occupation state from time to time on Iraqi and Syrian lands are a blatant aggression, and that the massacre committed in Zakho is a crime."

 The representative of the tribe in Syria, expressed his refusal to violate Iraq's sovereignty, and said: "We reject any interference in Iraqi affairs by Turkey," explaining that "the policy pursued by Turkey aims to occupy as much Syrian and Iraqi lands as possible to restore the Ottoman Empire."

 He pointed out that the Turkish occupation had turned his country into a source of terrorism towards neighboring countries and the world. "Turkey has become a haven for terrorists, especially after it was proven to the whole world that it trains terrorist groups such as ISIS and Jabhat al-Nusra. The killing of three ISIS leaders inside the lands it occupies in Syria is the best evidence on it."

 He considered that Turkey has become a threat to the security and stability of citizens in most of its neighboring countries, especially Syria and Iraq, after its blatant interference in Azerbaijan, Libya, Iraq and Syria.

 Al-Jawhar also noted that what is happening in Iraqi territory takes place in Syria, especially in northern and eastern Syria, from targeting citizens with drones by the criminal Erdoğan government, expressing his astonishment at the silence of the international community, the Security Council and the Arab League and their poor positions regarding Turkish violations.

 Thabet al-Jawhar warned the Iraqi government of the repercussions of Turkey's implementation of its occupation goals, saying: "If the Iraqi government and people do not have a firm stance towards the violations and attacks of the Turkish occupier, the Iraqi lands and the Iraqi people will be permissible for them, and they will strive in all forms and circumstances to occupy Iraqi lands and implement their plans in Iraq and Syria."

 The representative of the Al-Sharabain tribe, confirmed: "We are the owners of this land and we will strive with all our capabilities and forces to confront the Turkish occupier."
