​​​​​​​Al-Hol District Council calls for Turkish occupation to be held accountable for its war crimes

 Today, the Council of al-Hol district of al-Hasakah canton in northern and eastern Syria issued a statement of public opinion, in response to the continued threats and attacks of the Turkish occupation state on northern and eastern Syria, and Başûr (southern Kurdistan), and its systematic policy of isolation imposed on the leader Abdullah Ocalan.

 The statement was read by the co-chair of the Al-Hol sub-district council, Ziad Hassan, in the district center, in the presence of the people of the district, members of civil institutions, representatives of political parties, and notables of the region's clans.

 The statement began by recalling the three leading martyrs, "Jiyan Tolholdan, Roj Khabour, and Barin Botan," and also saluted the resistance of the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Internal Security Forces that are keen to protect the region and struggle with the Turkish occupation in order to secure security and stability for all Syrians.

 The statement indicated that "the threats and attacks of the Turkish occupation state, and their recent escalation, aim to strike the democratic project in north and east Syria, and implement its plans and goals represented by the "neo-Ottomanism".

 The statement pointed out, "The Turkish occupation state is trying, through its policy and attacks, to export its internal crisis and gain the support of the international community, to legitimize its occupation of Syrian territory," describing the attacks as illegal, criminal and brutal, citing the massacre committed by the Turkish occupation state in Zakho district in Başûr (South Kurdistan).

 The statement called on the international community and forces to hold the Turkish occupation state and its president accountable for the war crimes it committed in Syria and Iraq.

 The statement also stressed that "the tightening of isolation on the leader, Abdullah Ocalan, is a continuation of Turkey's systematic policies against peoples yearning for freedom, discouraging them from demanding their rights, and limiting the leader's thought, which has become necessary to resolve the Middle East crises and its outstanding issues."

 The statement indicated that Commander Abdullah Ocalan is facing systematic practices far from humanity in Imrali prison, amid an international silence, stressing that the keys to resolving all issues are in the hands of Commander Abdullah Ocalan.

 The statement stressed the need to continue the struggle alongside the Autonomous Administration and the Syrian Democratic Forces in order to protect the region, support the Iraqi people and continue striving to defeat the Turkish occupation of Syrian and Iraqi lands and achieve the physical freedom of leader Ocalan.
