AANES condemns Zakho massacre

The Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) condemned the massacre of Zakho and targeting of Kobani, where it stressed the need for clear and serious positions to limit Turkish aggressive attacks.

Today, the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria issued a statement condemning the Zakho massacre and the Turkish occupation state's targeting of an area in Kobani, which led to martyrdom of two people.

the statement said that " after the tripartite meeting in Tehran, Turkey directly committed the Zakho massacre and again in Kobani, in direct messages that Turkey is proceeding with its policies without any consideration or concern for anyone's vision; As a resort in the city of Zakho, located on the border between the Kurdistan region of Iraq and Turkey, was subjected to a Turkish missile attack on the 20th of this month, which resulted in direct casualties and injuries among unarmed civilians, as well as targeting areas of Kobani by drones.

The statement added " We call on the Southern Kurdistan, the Iraqi government, political parties, community activities and personalities, as well as the same forces and activities in NE Syria, to take positions that contribute to deterring these genocidal policies.

The statement concluded by saying: Our deepest condolences to the families of the victims, the Iraqi government and the Iraqi people, as well as to the Kobani martyrs and their families, and a speedy recovery to the wounded."
