Attorneys and families of Imrali's detainees apply for access

Today, family of leader Ocalan and his lawyer resubmitted a request to the Republican Public Prosecutor in the Turkish city of Bursa and the Imrali Prison Directorate to meet with him, after many rejected requests.

The Lawyers Ibrahim Bilmes, Nowruz Uysal, Mazloum Deng and Cengiz Yrkli, submitted a request to the Republican Public Prosecutor in the Turkish city of Bursa and the Imrali Prison Directorate to meet with Ocalan.

Mehmet Ocalan, brother of the leader Abdullah Ocalan, Ali Konar, brother of Omar Khairi Konar, Polat Yildirim, brother of Hamili Yildirim, and Meliha Cetin, sister of Wissi Aktas, also presented the same request to meet their families on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, from 9 to 15 July.

Thus, the lawyers of the leader Ocalan submit a request to meet twice a week, but their requests are systematically rejected.

Worth to note that the Turkish authorities impose strict isolation on the leader Ocalan, who has been detained on Imrali Island prison since February 15, 1999, following an international conspiracy, which led to his kidnapping in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi.
