Al-Naji, confirmed in a statement to ANHA that the Turkish occupation state has turned the occupied areas into a hotbed for terrorists, especially in Afrin, Girê Spî, Serêkaniyê, Idlib and Jarabulus.

After changing their demographics and historical, social and cultural landmarks, Turkey turned these areas into centers for collecting the remnants of ISIS and the extremist mercenaries who entered Syrian territory across the Turkish border, when ISIS mercenaries occupy vast areas in both Syria and Iraq.

Last Thursday, US military officials confirmed, in a statement, that the military forces had arrested Hani Ahmed Al-Kurdi, who is believed to be a bomb maker and facilitator, and who became one of the top leaders of ISIS mercenaries in Syria.

The operation took place in the village of Al-Humaira, which belongs to the city of Jarablus, which was occupied by Turkey in August 2016. Before that, the leaders of ISIS, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi and Abu Ibrahim al-Qurashi, were killed in the Idlib region.

Ali Naji touched on the threats made by the Turkish president regarding launching a new aggression on Syrian lands, and explained that they are not new, but are a continuation of his greedy policies to occupy more Syrian lands.

Ali Naji explained that these threats represent an export of the internal crisis which Turkey is experiencing, especially the financial, economic and living crisis, in addition to an exploitation of the Russian-Ukrainian war.

The Iraqi writer Ali Naji indicated that Erdogan is a war dealer, and seeks to displace a large number of Syrians to Turkey in order to obtain funds from the United Nations and others, Al-Naji described him by saying : "Sometimes he wages war to displace the people, and at other times he claims that he is extending a helping hand to them." Ali Naji linked the recent Turkish threats against NE Syria to the Turkish attacks against the regions of Başûr (southern Kurdistan), and said: "Turkey is now seeking to occupy other parts of Syria, its main goal is to form an Ottoman crescent, linking the regions of NE Syria, Şengal and Başûr.
