Ilham Ahmed: people would stand up to Turkish attacks

On the anniversary of the martyrdom of fighter Sema Yoca and on the recent situation in the region Ilham Ahmed co-chair of the Syrian Democratic Council held a popular meeting in the Mohamed Sheikho Centre for Art and Culture in the city of Qamishlo.

Attendance at the meeting were Kogra Star members, members of civil society and families of the martyrs in Qamishlo and its villages.

After a minute of silence was observed Ilham Ahmed said:

''Erdogan wants to exploits problems of the Middle East and the world to achieve his interest. The Turkish occupation state settles refugees in Kurdish cities, the main aim of the Turkish occupation state by the demographic change is occupation''.

Ahmed indicated that the aim of the Turkish occupation state led by Erdogan do not stop at North and East Syria rather they are much wider than that.

Ahmed said by the attacks carried out against the guerrilla fighters and North and East Syria to subjugate the Turkish people and subjugate the region to its effects. 

''we should resist in a strong and organized way against these attacks. We have sacrificed dearly  for the sake of this lands. We ought not be effected by the enemy. This land is ours. We defended it. We will defend it. Many epics were made on this land. Our forces have a great experience. Our forces proved their efficiency in the war against the humanity's enemy, ISIS. Our people should believe in its strength and will'' Ilham Ahmed said.
