The 107 annual anniversary of the Seyfo massacres committed by Ottomans was remembered today in Qamishlo and Al-Hasakah.

Hundreds of Al-Hasakah residents gathered today in the Church of Lady of the Syriac Orthodox located in the Al Nasira neighborhood, Al-Hasakah city to participate in the 107th anniversary of the "Seyfo" genocide under slogan "We want international recognition of the genocide".

The ceremony was attended by members of the Al-Hasakah District Council, the Syriac Union Party, representatives of political parties and many institutions and councils. The ceremony began with a minute of silence, followed by the speech of the joint head of the Syriac Union Party, Sanharib Barsoum, in which he said: "We commemorate the 107th anniversary and salute the souls of our martyrs in this massacre."

In the city of Qamishlo, the Syriac Union Party organized a ceremony at Mar Gabriel Hall in Qamishlo.

The ceremony was attended by the Archbishop of Al-Jazira, Mor Maurice Amseeh, representatives of the Syriac institutions, the Autonomous Administration, political parties, civil and religious society organizations, and hundreds of city residents of all sects and components.

The Syriac Orthodox Archbishop of Al-Jazirah and Euphrates, Mar Maurice Amseeh spoke about the massacre by saying: "We will not forget the Ottoman massacre against us which carried out a comprehensive ethnic cleansing, as the Turkish occupation is doing today along the border strip of our region."
