Shaaban indicated, during an exclusive interview with ANHA, that "the defunct Ottoman Empire arose in specific historical circumstances, which allowed the primitive Turkish tribes to unite and facilitate their encroachment to include large areas of Asia, then occupied other countries in Africa, such as Egypt and others, and raided Europe In its own backyard, then the Ottoman power began to fade, turning into the sick man of Europe.

Those familiar with Turkey's history say that neo-Ottomanism existed long before the rise of the Justice and Development Party in Turkey in 2002, but it features began with the Justice and Development Party.

In this context, Shaaban said: " hopes of neo-Ottomanism revived with the arrival of the Muslim Brotherhood to power in Egypt, by distortion on the popular revolution on January 25, 2011, and complicity of many parties, led by the United States of America."

He mentioned that "the Egyptian people's revolution against Brotherhood rule after they seized power, thwarted the neo-Ottoman project ."

The Turkish regime is hostile to the Kurds and Arabs

After failure of Turkish policies in Egypt and Tunisia due to the popular rejection of political Islam, and in Syria due to the success of the Autonomous Administration project, Turkey moved to direct intervention in most Arab countries such as Libya, Tunisia, Egypt, Iraq and Syria, in addition to Armenia and regions of NE Syria.

Shaaban added, " Turkish fascist Erdogan regime is a direct and primary enemy of both the Arabs and the Kurds, which threatens their existence and future, as the Zionist occupation did by infiltrating Palestine, and the gradual expansion until it was almost completely devoured.

Shaaban concluded by saying" The neo-Ottoman project constitutes a utopian and delusional attempt to restore the bygone golden past, it will never be restored, because the movement of history does not return but moves forward."
