Turkish occupation obstructs march to end Ocalan’s isolation

The Turkish authorities closed the roads leading to Kemlik district of Bursa state in Turkey, where a massive march is scheduled to take place today (June 12) in order to end the isolation and achieve the physical freedom of the leader Ocalan.

The co-chair of the Democratic Regions Party (DBP), Saliha Aydıniz, had called through ANHA’s agency all the peoples in Turkey to join Kemlik's Fifth March, which is launched under the slogan "to confront the politics of isolation and defend freedom."

According to the Kurdish section of the Firat news agency, for this march, a crowd of thousands of people gathered in Sarasker Street in Kadkoy district in Istanbul, to proceed towards Bahariya Street amid a siege imposed by the Turkish police.

This was the Peoples’ Democratic Congress (HDK), the Democratic Society Party (KCD), the Free Women’s Movement (TJA), the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP), the Democratic Regions Party (DBP), the Federation of Solidarity Associations with the Families of Detainees and Convicts (MED TÛHAD-FED). ) They announced the organization of the Fifth Kamlic March.

It is noteworthy that the first Kamlik march was organized in 2005 to end isolation and achieve physical freedom for the leader Ocalan, while the second march was organized on October 9, 2011, the day that marks the anniversary of the start of the conspiracy against the leader, while the third march was launched on August 1, 2015 from the city of Amed Bakur Kurdistan towards Kamlik, and the fourth march was launched on February 15, 2016 from Bursa to Kamlik, and the fifth coincided with Sunday.

This march comes as a condemnation of the isolation imposed on the leader Abdullah Ocalan, as his last contact with the outside world was on March 25, 2021 when he made a phone call to his brother, Mohammed Ocalan, and since that time no information has been received from him.
