The Turkish occupation state continues to threaten and target northern and eastern Syria continuously, with the aim of expanding its occupation and gaining greater influence in the region, breaking the will of the peoples inhabiting it, preventing them from reaching freedom and demanding their legitimate rights to defend their land and people.

On this issue, Ahmed Al-Sultan Abu Arraj, Assistant Secretary-General of the Future Syria Party, spoke to our agency, and said: "Recently, Turkish President Erdogan announced the launch of a new military operation in north and east Syria, claiming to establish a safe zone in northern Syria under the pretext of "protecting its national security."

Abu Arraj explained that "in the event that the Turkish occupation state enters a depth of 30 kilometers as it claims, there will also be borders separating it from the Syrian Democratic Forces, meaning that these allegations and threats are empty of their content and aim to destabilize the security and stability in the region, and it is clear from this that its goal is not to protect its national security, as it claims, but to occupy more Syrian lands.

He added, "Whenever the Turkish occupation state becomes in a critical situation internally, it makes statements and threats towards the region in the media by launching a military attack against north and east Syria, to achieve new military gains, obtain more geographical areas and more political and economic gains."

Assistant Secretary-General of the Future Syria Party Ahmed Sultan Abu Araj believes that "political and economic gains have become a thing of the past, and the purpose of reiterating its threats to launch military operations in Syrian territory, especially on the border strip, is to achieve political and international gains in the first place, intimidate and displace the people living in the area from their homes, and destabilize the security and stability in them.

On the issue of building settlements in the occupied lands and settling refugees there, he said: "The construction of settlements in the lands occupied by Turkey from Syria is nothing like the settlements of the Golan Heights."

The head of the Turkish occupation state had threatened to occupy Syrian lands at a depth of 30 km along its border with Syria, but Abu Araj confirmed that these threats “serve the plan of an upcoming project, which is the neo-Ottoman project. It is not limited to 30 kilometers within Syrian territory; it extends to  All Syrian territories," and he continued, "The Turkish occupation state's announcement of the launch of a new military operation in the Syrian territories, which may be against the background of new international understandings and agreements with it."

Abu Arraj called on the guarantor countries - Russia and the United States of America - to break their silence about this, asking, "Why is this shy silence about the Turkish attacks and threats to the region?", stressing that the people of northern and eastern Syria live in a social fabric, through the cohesion and solidarity of their components, and a mosaic painting  in every sense of the word, they should beware of these threats.

The Assistant Secretary-General of the Future Syria Party Ahmed Sultan Abu Araj concluded his speech by calling on all Syrians to sit at a dialogue table that would bring them together to decide their fate and end the conflict in the country to face the challenges and threats of the Turkish occupation state.
