​​​​​​​Sheikhs and dignitaries of Deir ez-Zor clans reject Turkish occupation and call to stand against it

 A meeting was held that included the sheikhs and dignitaries of the Deir ez-Zor clans, in the office of the notable of the Bukhabur clan, Adnan al-Shibli.

 The meeting was attended by dozens of sheikhs and dignitaries, who declared their rejection of the Turkish attacks.

 During the meeting, they called on the Syrians to unite, to renounce differences based on personal interests and to present the interests of the people over them in order to achieve stability, freedom and democracy in Syria.

 A statement was also made in the name of the notables and sheikhs of the Deir ez-Zor clans, which was read by the notable Muhammed al-Sistani of the Unayzah clan.

 The statement stated, "We, dignitaries, intellectuals, farmers and workers in Deir ez-Zor strongly condemn and denounce the presence of the occupying foreign forces in Syria, led by Turkey, Russia, and Iranian militias. We reject all forms of threats and provocations against our proud, heroic and cohesive people. We do not care about the hostile and false media."

 The statement called on the international coalition forces and the international community represented by the United Nations and the Security Council to put an end to the crimes against the Syrians, and called on them to assume their humanitarian and moral responsibilities to get all the occupying forces out of Syria, and said, "So that Syria remains one country, people and land with all its people."

 Notables and sheikhs of Deir ez-Zor clans praised the heroic role of the Syrian Democratic Forces and stressed that they should be an important part of the solution in Syria.” The Syrian forces are the ones that have sacrificed for the sake of security and stability in the regions of north and east Syria, and they must be an important part of the Syrian political solution.  We are also against the Turkish aggression that seeks to restore the tyrannical Ottoman Empire that brought woes and destruction throughout previous eras.

 The statement added, "We do not accept the renewal of this occupation, and ask to work seriously for a comprehensive political solution in accordance with UN Resolution 22 54 and to prevent the military crowds that gather on the Turkish side from entering the Syrian territories in order to avoid dragging the region into a bloody war that will not remain or falter. We are with those who seek to achieve peace and bring the parties together at the negotiating table under international and international supervision.

 A statement by the dignitaries and sheikhs of Deir ez-Zor clans called on the Syrians to unite to achieve freedom and democracy in Syria, and concluded their statement, "We call on all honorable, patriots and owners of the free pen in Syria to unite and renounce differences based on personal interests and present the interests of the people over them in order to achieve stability, freedom and democracy in Syria's land and people."
