The co-chair of the Office of Displaced Affairs Sheikhmus Ahmed indicated that the Turkish escalation on North and East Syria "recently caused the displacement of 200 families from the areas of contact because of bombing their safe homes," pointing out that Turkey is exploiting its position in NATO to blackmail Western countries to impose its conditions and implement its plots on Syrian territory.

Sheikhmus Ahmed pointed out that the goal of the Turkish occupation's threats in this period is to strike the current agricultural season, which leads to a stifling economic crisis and loss of food security for thousands of the region's residents and displaced people.

Al-Ahmed called on the international community and humanitarian organizations to stop Turkey from using the refugee card to bargain between it and Western countries.

He also stressed the need to open Telkojer crossing to bring humanitarian aid into the regions of Syria.

Worth to note that Turkey threatened to invade the regions of NE Syria under pretext of securing its borders and establishing a safe area for the Syrian refugees who live on its land.

Turkish occupation of Girê Spî canton has caused displacement of more than 100,000 citizens of the canton and its countryside, 6043 of whom live in Girê Spi IDP camp, while the rest are distributed among the cities of Raqqa and Tabqa and their countryside, and they live in difficult economic and living conditions after their displacement from their homes.
