During the international dialogue forum under the slogan "Afrin between occupation and international interests", the interventions during the second session considered that Turkey committed war crimes by occupying the occupied canton of Afrin.

The work of the second session of the dialogue forum held in Barkhwadan camp continues, and the interventions of the participants emphasized the danger of the Turkish project aimed at settling Syrian refugees in the occupied territories.

And the director of research at the Kurdish Peace Institute, Megan Bodet, stated that Turkey's occupation of the occupied canton of Afrin is illegal: "Turkey illegally occupied Afrin, and its mercenaries pursued ethnic cleansing against the Kurdish people and all the components in Afrin."

Megan said that mercenaries committed crimes in the occupied canton of Afrin: "The mercenaries supported by the Turkish occupation killed civilians and seized property."

Megan called on the concerned authorities to document what is happening in the occupied canton of Afrin: "The human rights organization must document this in Afrin, the crimes committed by the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries, and the brutal crimes committed against women in particular, and present them to public opinion."

She added, "What is happening in Afrin has gone beyond war crimes and has become a humanitarian issue. We can honor the memory of the victims by documenting what happened to them. No one is exempt from prosecution. Mercenaries can be tried, and the same applies to the officials who plotted their crimes, and the Turkish state is not above the law."

The director of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, Rami Abdel Rahman, in turn pointed to the ongoing demographic change in the occupied canton of Afrin after the Turkish occupation. Afrin was a homogeneous area between the components and now the component has become  the Sunni is the only one in control.

Abdul Rahman pointed out that the forced settlement is similar to concentration camps: “The statements of Turkish officials prove that the ethnic cleansing was deliberate, claiming that the aim of the invasion of Afrin was to return the indigenous people to their land, and these statements are a distortion of the facts, according to the United Nations.  Civilians are like general civilian concentration camps."

Abdul Rahman revealed the Turkish plans in the north of Syria, saying: "Speaking of Erdogan's new dangerous project, there is a plan to build cities in the area between Kobani and Serêkaniyê to attract more, and be affiliated with Turkey to strike the Autonomous Administration project and export the refugee crisis through the new settlement-building project and obtains funding from  the Gulf states and other organizations, the scheme is dangerous because it is a prelude to controlling the entire north of Syria, and the focus must be on the media to expose Erdogan’s policies.  the project is a demographic change project.
