​​​​​​​Afrin IDPs: we will continue resisting in spite of shelling

In the night of Friday Turkish occupation forces and their affiliated mercenary groups shelled a number of villages in the Shahba Canton and the Sherawa district in Afrin Canton.

Afrin IDPs living in the 'Oudeh IDP Camp in the Sherawa district of the Afrin Canton denounced they shelling carried out and condemned the silence of the international community towards the shelling targeting the periphery of the camp. 

Sido Ibish an Afrin IDP said: '' we are here for our years. We are putting up a historical resistance in the Oudeh Camp. The camp is s sep to return home for us after Afrin is liberated from the Turkish occupation forces and the affiliated mercenary groups''.

Ibish said that more than 100 missiles and mortars were fired at the periphery of the camp and the adjacent villages by the Turkish occupation forces and the affiliated mercenary groups. Ibish added Turkish occupation forces target the area constantly to enforce the IDPs to give up the resistance line.

Sido said: the international community knows and comprehends the suffering and the hard conditions in which the IDPs live in the camp. This added to the shelling aggravates the situation. We will continue struggling and fighting until we return home by our determination and administration''. 

From her part, Cilan Mohamed said that the Turkish occupation forces since a week target the Sherawa district and the periphery of the Oudeh Camp randomly and violently.

Cilan indicated that the Turkish occupation army seeks to displace the remaining people in the camp to be able to annex these areas to Turkey.

Cilan noted the shelling on the camp causes fear and panic to elderly and children

Cilan said at the end that they are all hope and determination to return home and to liberate Afrin from the Turkish occupation forces and the affiliated mercenary groups and until that they are going to remain in  the camp to the last breath.
