In an exclusive statement made to ANHA on the latest situation in Shingal and the attack carried out by the Iraqi army supported by the Kurdistan Democratic Party, the PDK, Co-chair of the Executive e Council of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria Badran Chiya Kurd said:

''this one is not different from other campaigns of annihilation. Today the Iraqi army besieges Shingal and attacks it. They seek to control Shingal and put an end to is particularity and put into operation the annihilation as former ones.

Again there is a dangerous plot that targets the existence of Shingal by the Iraqi government supported by regional and local powers  under unconvincing grounds though the Iraqi constitution recognizes the rights of all racial, cultural and ethnic affiliations in the Iraqi community. The attack by the Iraqi army is a flagrant violation of the constitution. Shingal is an essential  part of the Iraqi identity and history.''

On the background of the latest attack by the Iraqi army Badran Chiya Kurd said'' if continued they would be a sequel to the one in 2014. Today powers that failed in Shingal in 2014 such as Turkey and ISIS are supporting the Iraqi army. They want to break the will of Shingal where ISIS was defeated. This proves that there is a dangerous scheme orchestrated by Turkey to annihilate the peoples of the regions of whom Yazidis.

Regarding the role presumed to be played by the international community Chiya Kurd said: ''the responsibility of the international community is to urgently to contribute prevent this genocide develop. Where ISIS was defeated marks a turning point in history, Shingal should be supported against such similar schemes.

On the duty falls on the shoulders of the Kurdistan and Iraqi peoples, Badran Chiya Kurd said:

''our people  in North and East Syria, in Southern Kurdistan and the Iraqi people should intensifies struggle and stand in the face of these attacks. Shingal is not alone; we will support our people in Shingal. They won't be left alone in the face of the annihilation as previous. These schemes are not confined to Shingal rather they are much wider and not limited to Yazidis but all the region''.
