​​​​​​​Yazidis: Turkish attacks on Shingla, NES and Medya correlated

On 18 April a post held by the Yazidi Ezidkhan Asayish in the Du Gure village of the Sinune sub district of the Shingal province was attacked by a force of the Iraq army in line with attacks carried out by the Turkish occupation state and the partnership of the Kurdistan Democratic Party on Medya Defense zones in Southern Kurdistan.

On the issue ANHA met member of Syria's Yazidi Union Ziyad Restem who noted to the plots that are hatched by the Iraqi federal government and the Kurdistan Democratic Party with the Turkish occupation state against the Yazidi community and the Kurds in general, Ziyad said: '' plots of the regional powers that seek to eradicate the culture of the Yazidi community and annihilate it. Tis culture that foes deep in history''.

Restem made a connection between the attacks carried out on the Medya defense zones in Southern Kurdistan and the ones on North and East Syria to those carried out in the Shingal province saying '' all of these plots are correlated with the plot of 9 October of the Hewler and Baghdad, and the international plot hatched against leader Abdullah Ocalan''.

On 9 October 2020 an agreement was signed between the Iraqi government and Kurdistan Democratic Party to control Shingal.

On the attacks on the village of Du Gure Restem said:'' at a time where the Yazidi community was preparing to celebrate the Red Wednesday that is a sacred and a significant one for Yazidis, the Iraqi forces carried out an attack on the Shingal province under Turkish directives''.

Restem said the victory of the Yazidis is a one for all Kurds, hence, all plots aim to eradicate the Kurds in the image of Yazidis. This is an overall plot by the fascist countries targeting Kurds''.

From his part Elias Sido, member of the Yazidi House in the Jazira Region, confirmed that plots of the Turkish occupation state at this time are not targeting the Kurdistan Workers' Party alone rather they target the Kurdish people at large.  

Sido called attention to the building of the separation wall built between Rojava and Shingal by the Iraqi federal government '' this wall is to separate the resistance of Shingal from that of Rojava,  and to revert Shingal to the pre 2011 status and to strike at the Autonomous Administration of Shingal''.

Sido went on to say ''building the wall of disgrace came in line with the Turkish attacks on the medya defense zones in Southern Kurdistan''.

Sido said the Yazidi community is the core of the Kurds. They want to eradicate it by these plots and schemes.

Sido concluded the ''Yazidi community has been subject to 73 firmans as the destiny of hundreds of Yazidis still remain uncertain in the hands of ISIS mercenaries. The Iraqi government and the international community instead to return Yazidis to their homes are plotting new schemes against the Yazidis''.
