Iraqi youth injured in an armed attack in al-Hol Camp

From Al-Hol district, 45 km east of the center of Al-Hasakah canton, north and east of Syria, ANHA’s correspondent reported that an Iraqi youth was seriously injured after he was subjected to an attempted murder in the first sector of the camp, and was taken to one of the medical points in the camp.

According to eyewitnesses, within the first sector of the camp, a masked group of two people shot the Iraqi young man with a Kalashnikov, as a result of which he was seriously wounded.

And quoting a security source who refused to reveal his identity, the young man who was exposed to the attempted murder is an Iraqi nationality Rami Mahdi, and he explained that investigations are underway into the circumstances of the incident, which is certainly ISIS mercenary cells are responsible it inside the camp, consisting of ISIS women.

Our correspondent indicated that the condition of the injured young man is critical, quoting the medical point in the camp.

With the injury of the Iraqi youth, the number of people injured in al-Hol Camp in this type of crime has risen to 13 since the beginning of this year 2022, in addition to the killing of 10 people, among Syrian, Iraqi and foreign “men and women,” according to the records of the security forces in al-Hol Camp.

Last Thursday, the security forces found the body of a woman who was killed at the door of her tent in the fourth sector, called Walaa Hamami, and on Tuesday of the same week, two unidentified women were found in the fourth sector, as well as the body of an Iraqi woman named Syria Al-Owaid, who was killed in the first sector.

Al-Hol Camp, north and east of Syria, witnessed during the past year 126 murders, 41 attempted murders, injuring the targets, and deliberately burning 13 tents, despite the efforts of the security forces to control them, in the absence of serious international action.

Al-Hol Camp, according to recent statistics obtained by ANHA’s correspondent from the camp administration in December of last year, includes 57,460 people, most of them women and children, among 15,603 families, among "Iraqis, Syrians, women and children of ISIS foreign mercenaries, whose number is 8,555, among 2,529 Family, of 54 nationalities.
