Roj News reported that the Turkish occupation army, after bombing the Jia Rasho area by air, tried to deploy its forces in the area via helicopters, but the People’s  Defense Forces fighters thwarted these attempts through successful sniping operations and prevented it from advancing.

Following the visit of the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani to Turkey on April 15, and his meeting with the President of the occupying state, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and its head of intelligence, Hakan Fidan, the occupying power announced, at dawn today, other genocidal and occupation attacks launched on Zap, Avaşîn, Metîna in the legitimate defense areas of Başûr (Southern Kurdistan).

The Turkish occupation army is trying to deploy its forces in the area via helicopters and then advance in the area by land, but the fighters of the (HPG), thwarted its attempts through qualitative sniping operations, paralyzing its movement and preventing it from advancing in the area.

Violent battles took place between the fighters of HPG and the forces of the Turkish occupation army, and clashes erupted between the Guerilla forces and the Turkish occupation army in Werxelê in Avaşîn area.

It is worth noting that the KCK Foreign Relations Committee announced in a statement on March 26 that the occupying Turkish state would launch an attack on Southern Kurdistan in cooperation with the Kurdistan Democratic Party.
