10 Syrian citizens killed since the beginning of this year by gendarmerie

Within one day, a displaced child and young man were shot dead by the Turkish gendarmerie, bringing the number of Turkish crimes against Syrian citizens to 10 victims since the beginning of the current year 2022.

A 16-year-old child, displaced from the Al-Ghab Plain in the northwestern countryside of Hama, was shot dead by the Turkish gendarmerie, while trying to enter Turkey from the countryside of Idlib. He is the second victim at the hands of the gendarmerie within a day, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

Shortly before that, a young displaced man from the town of Talmans in Idlib countryside was shot dead by the Turkish gendarmerie, while trying to enter Turkey from the Khirbet al-Jouz area in the western countryside of Idlib.

Thus, the number of civilians who have been killed by the Turkish border guards’ “gendarmerie” forces since the beginning of 2022, within separate Syrian areas located near and at the border with Turkey, has risen to 10, including 3 children, and 16 civilians, including 3 children, were also wounded by the gendarmerie’s bullets.
