SDF's Luqman Khalil: ISIS threat still exists

Luqman Khalil commander in Syrian Democratic Forces said that the struggle against the ISIS mercenaries was intensified adding the threats posed by the terrorist groups still exist.

Luqman Khalil commander in Syrian Democratic Forces was interviewed by Rojava TV Channel. Statement of the Commander in the Syrian Democratic Forces in Baghouz Luqman Khalil came on the fourth annual anniversary of the territorial defeat of ISIS and the victory attained against the terrorist organization by the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS in the town of Baghouz.

SDF's commenced by paying tribute to all male and female fighters of the Kurdish Protection Units, Women Protection Units, and the Syrian Democratic Forces for the role and contribution and sacrifices made to inflict defeat on ISIS. 

Luqman Khalil said ''though ISIS is defeated on the ground and territorially but it still exists ideologically, via its sleeper cells''.

Khalil confirmed their pledge to truck the course of martyrs of freedom.'' The unity of peoples that was shown contributed to the defeat inflicted upon ISIS. It is true that the Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS was helpful in the defeat of ISIS but it was the will of peoples that destroyed it''.

Khalil went on to say that in Baghouz Kurds and Arabs fought next to each other showing solidarity and fraternity indicating to the 12 March 2004 massacres that aimed to sow sedition among Kurds and Arabs''.

On the ISIS attack on the Sina'a Prison in the city of Hasaka in late January Syrian Democratic Forces' said the plot was hatched from behind borders and the 121 martyrs of the Syrian Democratic Forces fought on behalf of the world at large.

Khalil said the 121 martyrs of the Syrian Democratic Forces fought bravely to save the North and East Syrian people of an imminent massacre.

Regarding any solution to the Syrian crisis that sweeps the country Khalil Luqman said any solution should be real and democratically oriented, and that all Syrians should be represented.

Worth to note, on 23 March 2019 Syrian Democratic Forces announced that the terrorist ISIS organization was defeat as its last bastion in the town of Baghouz on the Syrian- Iraqi border collapsed.
