People in North eastern Syria proceed to demand that Kurdistan Workers' Party be delisted from the U.S and EU terrorism list as a large Arab participation is noticed.

The initiative t5hat was started on 14 December 2021 has gathered more than  500 signatories in North eastern Syria with participation by all components of the region most remarkable is the Arab one. 

At least 1000 figures have joined the campaign from more than 30 Arab countries as well including politicians, MPs, intellectuals, artists, writers and activists.

In North eastern Syria the bid was undertaken by the Democratic Union Party, the PYD, and the Kongra Star Coordination that opened offices and headquarters in many areas for the task and committees and sub-committees were formed.

According to figures 526, 295 signatories have been appended on the petition.

In the Darbassiye district of the Hasaka Canton 3, 744 signatories were put on the petition while some 10, 000 people in the Hol District in eastern Hasaka Canton demanding the Party be removed from the black list, 22, 000 in the District of Tal Tamr, in in Shadadi in the southern of the Canton it was revealed by PYD that 29, 500 persons put their signatures to the petition up to date.  As the campaign goes on according to the concerned committees and offices of the party.

While in the Qamishlo Canton, figure3s are as follows, in the Tirbe Spiye district of the canton 32, 058 people took part in the campaign while it was announced that 16, 284 people took part in the district of Chel Agha according to the Democratic Union Party office.

In the district of Girke Lege it was revealed in a PYD statement that 26, 000 person put their signatures to the petition calling for the removal of Kurdistan Workers' Party.

In Tabqa city and countryside, the concerned committees revealed that 136, 520 signatures were put in the petition that calls for the removal of the party from the U.S. and the EU terrorism list while figures from Deir Ezzor showed that 10, 000 people took part in the campaign.

It was noted the campaign goes on in Raqqa until 15 of the coming April.

Member of the initiative in Tabqa Shaza Hisein said that '' people received the bid heartily as they are touched by ideas and proposals of the party that advocates ideas based on fraternity and equality of peoples''. Shaza added the ''campaign goes on until it achieves its aims. ''

In the Shahba Canton it was adumbrated by the council of the canton that at least 41, 300 signatures have been put on the petition up to date as the campaign is still ongoing in the region.

On 22 February the last the Kongra Star in the Euphrates Region  issued a statement to the public opinion announcing that 74, 000 signatures were gathered all demanding that Kurdistan Workers' Party be removed from the black list.  

In Manbij, it was stated by the committee of leader Abdullah Ocalan that it has gathered 180, 000 signatures to the petition that call the PKK be removed from the black list.  

In the Syrian capital Kurdistanis launched a campaign on 8 March demanding that PKK be removed from the terrorism list.

They issued a statement saying that keeping the party in the terrorism list obstructs the way to peace in the whole region.

Worth to note that the petition would be referred to the European Council and the concerned associations in the United States of America to be a reference for MPs and to adopt the cause of the agendas.
