​​​​​​​The platform of joint activities of women's movements and organizations congratulated all women in the world on the occasion of International Women's Day, and stressed that the struggle of women around the world to achieve freedom against authoritarian concepts is a fundamental pillar of the struggles waged by the peoples of the world for freedom, justice and equality.

This came in a statement delivered by the platform of the joint activities of women's movements and organizations in north and east Syria, followed by Ibtisam Al-Hussein, in the administrator Qamishlo in the Kongra Star in Qamishlo canton.

This statement is scheduled to be recited in all celebrations held in north and east Syria under the slogan "Together we protect our revolution and liberate our lands", on the occasion of International Women's Day.

The statement saluted all the women of the world, Syria, north and east Syria, on the occasion of International Women’s Day, and recalled “all the pioneering female martyrs who made great sacrifices on the path to freedom and shown the heroic epics in their resistance against male domination and tyrannical mentality and broke the chains of slavery and servitude in order to obtain their legitimate rights to freedom, justice and equality and democracy.”

It added, "On this occasion, we salute the leader Abdullah Ocalan, the first and true companion of women, who has a philosophy of free life based on women's freedom, which is the freedom of society." It recalled the words of the leader Ocalan: "The twenty-first century will be the century of women's freedom."

The platform congratulated all the women of north and east Syria, the mothers of the martyrs, the women imprisoned in the prisons of authoritarian regimes, the fighters in all political and social fields and arenas, the women stationed in the trenches of resistance in order to protect women and society.

The platform affirmed that International Women’s Day was the fruit of great struggles and resistances of millions of toiling women and the leadership of women’s movements and organizations around the world, from “Rosa Luxemburg to Clara Zetkin, Zenobia Zarifa, Sakîne Cansiz, Mina Khan, Suhaila Abdul Qad, Ivana Hoffman, Sawsan Berhat, Nujeen Amed, Tolhildan Raman, Laila Qassem, Laila Akri, Hevrin Khalaf, Zahra Barkal, Hind and Saad, Mother Aqeeda, Uwaz Urmia.

The statement noted women's resistance against the occupier and authoritarian attacks of dominant countries, adding: "The strengthening and escalation of the struggle led by women for freedom against all fascist and occupation attacks, the hegemonic patriarchal authority, and the genocidal policy targeting women, raises our revolution to the level of a women's revolution that adopts on the strength of work and thought and the reality of the resistance shown by all the pioneering female fighters throughout history in all political, social, economic, cultural and organizational fields, and that all women join hands to escalate the struggle can achieve a free and dignified life for all social segments.

He explained: “We live in an era of systematic wars in all its forms, and through various means of private war policy, genocide, murder, rape, displacement, poverty, massacres and economic wars in all areas of life. world domination, this was manifested in the fabrication of wars in the Middle East in general, but this brings with it many strategic opportunities for women and peoples in general, but it carries with it many risks for peoples.

The statement stressed the need to continue the tireless struggle, and that every day for women should be the 8th of March, in order to change the authoritarian mentality and oppose the outdated customs and traditions that have become a scourge on the societal structure and its historical reality requires all women to struggle and work to arm themselves with awareness and democratic thought through consolidating a life of equal partnership, achieving justice and equality, and arming with ecological, health and moral awareness that would protect man and nature.

The statement referred to the struggle of women in the north and east of Syria within the institutions of the Autonomous Administration, and added: "We in the north and east of Syria are living a societal revolution led by women with merit and established a democratic system represented by the Democratic Autonomous Administration (DAA) in which women take a leading role through the joint presidency system in all institutions which has become a role model and a source of inspiration for all women, thanks to the historical gains made by women’s resistance in the Women’s Protection Units (YPJ) in defeating the global terrorism represented by ISIS and its continuous resistance to the Turkish occupation forces and its mercenary factions. This revolution was called the Women’s Revolution.

Building a democratic society in which the values ​​of justice and equality prevail.

It stressed: "The Women's Revolution in North and East Syria is the revolution of all women. Therefore, all of us, as feminist organizations and women's movements, must unite and cohesion in order to achieve our legitimate goals and build a democratic society in which the values ​​of justice, equality and freedom prevail, embodying the slogan of our campaign (Together we protect our revolution and liberate our lands)."

The platform of the joint activities of women's movements and organizations in north and east Syria saluted during its statement "the heroic resistance of women in Afrin, Serêkaniyê, Tal Abyad, and we salute the resistance and steadfastness of women in the camps and the resistance of Afghan women in the face of extremist obscurantist ideology and the women of the whole world and we salute their struggle against all policies of extermination, killing and displacement.
