The second day of the International Water Forum in North and East Syria has kicked off in the city of Hasaka, that contains two main sessions.

The event that is under the auspices of the Local Administration and Environment Body of Jazira Region and participation by the Rojava University and the Euphrates Center for Studies has been kicked off in the Serdem Hall for Culture in the city of Hasaka under ''Ecological Effects of the Water Crisis.

The event is to discuss the current situation of water in NES amid rarity of water resources and its subjugation to the political will of ruling countries that control its fountains.

According to the Preparatory Committee the forum aims at   shedding light on the international conventions, laws and agreements that regulate water and the policy of monopolization using water resources as weapons in economic and political issues and questions, discussing dangers entailed in such issues and the mechanism and ways that makes a sustainable water security. 

Also on the agenda of the forum, shedding light on the economic, social and ecological dangers entailed in the actions and practices adopted by the Turkish occupation state to create a crisis via which it's will be imposed on other parts. It aims also to take the notice of investments and NGOs to cooperate and exchange expertise.
