Damascus forces bombard towns in Idlib countryside with more than 200 shells

Damascus government forces fired more than 200 rocket and artillery shells at several towns in the southern sector of Idlib countryside, killing 5 people and injuring others, while an element of the Damascus government forces was killed as a result of being targeted by Turkish mercenaries in Hama countryside.

Damascus government forces are continuing their ground escalation on the so-called "de-escalation" zone, especially the southern sector of Idlib countryside, as government forces have fired more than 200 rocket and artillery shells since after midnight until now, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

The shelling targeted areas in Mashoun, Al-Bara, Ahsam, Benin, Felifel, Al-Fateera, Kansafra, Sufuhun, Al-Mozara, Kafr Aweed and other areas south of Idlib, and this led to casualties.

In Al-Bara, the shells of the Damascus government forces killed at least two female citizens, in addition to causing injuries. In Ahsem, a police station was directly targeted, which led to the death of 3 people as an initial outcome.

On the other hand, a lieutenant colonel in the Damascus government forces was killed as a result of being targeted by Turkish mercenaries on the axes of Sahl Al-Ghab in the northwestern Hama countryside.

Yesterday evening, the Observatory indicated that one member of the Turkish mercenaries was killed and others were wounded, as a result of the Damascus government forces' shelling on the first sites in Fuleifel in the southern countryside of Idlib.
