June martyrs remembered by Darbassiye Kongra Star

The meeting that was held at the Culture Centre in the city of Darbassiye in the Hasaka Canton set off with a minute of silence then administrator in the Kongra Star Coordination Dilem Derik delivered a speech in which she spoke on the operations carried out by martyrs such as Zilan in Dersim against the plot hatched against leader Abdullah Ocalan in one of the posts held by Turkish soldiers on 30 June 1996 and Sema Yoca that set herself on fire on 17 June 1998 in rejection to the policies adopted by the Turkish occupation state.

''last year, Zehra Bergel, Hebun Mela Khaleel and Mother Emina Weysi all martyred in the village of Helenj in a raid by a Turkish drone, and two days ago a HDP member was assassinated'', she said.

''they used to target and break the will of the free, educated and emancipated women to keep her under capitalist regimes'', she concluded.

The meeting was wrapped up with chanting slogans that glorify martyrs.
