The Semalka Border Crossing between Rojava and Başûr Kurdistan was closed more than a year ago, due to the repercussions of the spread of the Corona virus, and remained open only to humanitarian (disease), commercial cases, some organizations, and the entry of some journalists.

The administration of the crossings in northern and eastern Syria has long since approved the official reopening of the crossing to the movement of people, and the administration of Faysh Khabur Crossing has requested to give them a deadline.

Several days later, the administration of the Faysh Khabur Crossing sent an incapacitating ferman to the administration of the Semalka Crossing, which besets citizens, especially those who live outside Al-Jazira region, as it includes comprehensive information about the person who would like to visit Başûr Kurdistan, especially those who suffer from chronic diseases.

Considering the decree sent by the administration of the Faysh Khabur crossing to the administration of the Semalka Crossing, we note that the information contained in it is impossible and controversial, as it includes the most accurate details about the person who wants to visit the Kurdistan Region, starting with the name, current and former residential address and phone number in Rojava and Başûr Kurdistan, religion, nationality, the address of the visiting place, the name and number of the person whom they would like to visit and the objectives of the visit.

The administration of the crossings in north and east Syria confirms, "After these measures, the travel movement between the areas of north and east Syria and Başûr Kurdistan decreased."
