Northern Democratic Brigade: Self Defence Service is sacred

Commander of the Northern Democratic Brigade Said that THE Self Defence Service is sacred one as the youth are defending their areas saying that we ought to take the side of the Syrian Democratic Forces tp preserve the project that was developed in the Middle East.

In June 2019 the Self Defence Law in north and east Syria was ratified by the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria.

The law is made up of 35 articles stating all issues relevant to service, postponement, exemption.

Mahmoud Habib commander of the Northern Democratic Brigade says :'' the Self Defence Service is a sacred one by which we defend our lands and preserve our gains made amid the threats posed to and attacks carried out against the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria. Those defending our territories are people of the region, if compared to other Syrian territories we can see how mercenaries are defending them as in areas held by the Turkish occupation forces and others have submitted to militias.''

''Syrian Democratic Forces are defending North eastern Syria against the enemies such as turkish occupation, Syrian regime or ISIS and it's mercenaries. But the SDF are in need of supplementary forces for this the Self Defence Service was adopted by the AANES for every young man to get accustomed to arms to be used in times of need'', Habib said.

Habib noted that it is a defence of land no more than that, it is not for a very long period of time as it is in areas under control of the Syrian government where some people have served for up to eight years in row and in other places''.

''Syrian regime is playing to strike from inside to subvert the Autonomous Administration as it is backed by the Russia in international arenas that is going to ask for Syrian regime to return to such areas but this is not going to happen for there are international agreements and consensus on the illegitimacy of the regime'', he added.

In the Manbij incidents Russia asked the Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS to allow a recruitment office for the Syrian regime to be opened on this I is very obvious the complicity that is being played by the regime in this incidents via this offices it tries to infiltrate into region''.

Habib went on to say 't'he Manbij incident was open to escalation and aggravation but it was the awareness of the notables and tribal sheikhs and associations and bodies of AANES, civil society and Manbij Military Council that subverted the attempt to fulfil peoples demands for it is the people that is the sources of strength and legitimacy'', adding that the Syrian regime is not the sole enemy in the region there is also the Turkish occupation forces that try to occupy more lands and also the ISIS organization that target from time to another elements in the SDF and civil servants in the AANES. They all converge on subjugating the AANES''.

Mahmoud Habib concluded '' we all ought to be armed with awareness and to preserve the peace and dignified life in North and East Syria and tp preserve the AANES''.
