Following a report made by a farmer in the village of Abu Hamam in Hajin district in Deir ez-Zor today, which included the presence of a landmine under the main road of the village, the engineering teams of the Syrian Democratic Forces headed to the area, and after securing the area, the mine was dismantled.

Several forces, such as Turkey, the government of Damascus and the remnants of ISIS, are seeking through their cells to destabilize the security and stability of the areas of north and east Syria, especially in Deir Ezzor region, by planting mines and targeting national figures and dignitaries of clans and tribes. On May 20th, the body of a man was found shot in the head by unknown persons in al-Kesrat area in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor.
