Today, the Yazidi House in Tirbê Spiyê District of Qamishlo Canton in Al-Jazira region issued a statement about the burning of hundreds of tents in Şerya Camp which shelters Yazidis in Duhok Governorate, south of Kurdistan, in the presence of dozens of Yazidis and members of the Yazidi House.

The statement denounced the continued suffering of the Yazidi people, and demanded to end the Şengal catastrophe, support the Autonomous Administration in it, and return the displaced Yazidis to their homes.

The statement was read by Co-chair of the Yazidi House in Al-Jazira Region, Leyla Ibrahim, in which she expressed their solidarity with their people in the camp that was established in Duhok with the support of the Regional Government.

The camp was burnt and inflicted great damage to the residents because it was not equipped with the means of protection.

The statement pointed out that "the suffering of the Yazidi community continues due to the failure to research the causes and think of a practical solution to end the crisis of Şengal people, so tragedies against the Yazidi community continue."

The statement of the Yazidi House in Al-Jazira Region called on the international community and the Kurdish forces " to support the Autonomous Administration in Şengal, return the displaced to their homes, in addition to developing the administration formed by the sons and daughters of the Yazidi community capable of protecting itself and representing the aspirations and desires of the Yazidi community."
