In a media statement, commenting on the recent events in Manbij, the Co-chair of the Legislative Council in Manbij, Mohammed Ali al-Abbo, said that "Syria as well as the areas of north and east Syria that are part of Syria are going through a difficult and critical phase of political instability and siege from all directions."

Al-Abbo continued his speech to a number of media outlets yesterday, including Hawar news agency, saying that "Manbij city is of great importance due to its geographical location, the homogeneity that exists among its spectra and components, and the state of stability it has reached."

Al-Abbo pointed out that "the stability we experience does not satisfy many, so when a number of our people came out yesterday to express some demands, some parties tried to sow discord among the people and incite sabotage."

He added, "We, working in the administration and tribal dignitaries, sheikhs must assume our responsibilities towards our country, engage in dialogue together, reform the existing defect together, and put the interests and security of our people above everything."

At the end of his speech, Mohammed Ali al-Abbo urged "the people to be aware of the danger around us and our people because there are many parties that want to undermine our security and stability."
