The policy of demographic change in Syria began to show its features with the end of the proxy war and the entry of countries openly and explicitly into the Syrian conflict, especially Turkey and Iran which entered Syria under the pretext that they are friends of the Syrian people, and each country supports one side until the destruction, division and dispersal in Syria reached its highest levels.

Not only Turkey has changed the demography of the region, the regions of Damascus and its countryside, and the countryside of Homs, Hama and Aleppo are also witnessing a similar change by Iran, but Turkey remains the first in this policy and openly tries to integrate the areas it occupied with the borders of its state as it did with Iskenderun, and with Kuwaiti and Qatari support, it is currently establishing dozens of settlements in Afrin and changed the names of cities and villages in them and imposed Turkish language, currency, education.

In an interview with the jurist from the city of Raqqa, Abdullah Al-Erian described the demographic change in Syria as “stupid,” attributing that to the fact that this change is taking place in exceptional circumstances dominated by chaos and infighting and foreign countries exploited these conditions to achieve their goals, and it will disappear with the disappearance of the conditions that generated it, sooner or later.

Al-Erian added: “Whoever carries out this act is a terrorist stupid authority and does not adopt any human rights standard, and demographic change takes place after the occupier implements a repressive policy for indigenous peoples and their displacement,” stressing that natural conditions will eliminate all phenomena of demographic change when Syria becomes one united country.

Al-Erian also explained that the occupying countries depend on the current Syria's division of land and people, for the ease of implementing the policy of demographic change for those countries, as in the areas they occupy, and exploiting some of the weak souls of the Syrian mercenaries to implement these policies.

At the end of his speech, Al-Erian stressed that the crisis in Syria will end and all parties will agree to keep a free, independent and united Syria, thus ending all manifestations of demographic change and returning rights to their owners.
