Pictures and videos taken by our agency's reporter show that pumping water from Tal al- Samen lift pump has stopped, as the water has reached its lowest level.

The pump's water cut off, the percentage of agriculture in Girê Spi countryside, where farmers depend on pump water, was halved compared to last year, and agriculture was limited to hundreds of dunums cultivated on the banks of Jallab River by drawing water through diesel engines.

According to the concerned authorities overseeing the operation of the pump, the pump is currently operating only to secure drinking water for the Hisha drinking water pump and Girê Spi IDPs camp, by operating it for a period of 4 hours every 48 hours.

Tel Saman pump irrigates 16,000 hectares of agricultural land in the countryside of Girê Spi district and the northern countryside of Raqqa, in addition to providing drinking water for dozens of Hisha’s villages.

It should be noted that the Turkish state has been holding the water of the Euphrates River for more than 3 and a half months, consequently, its level dropped to frightening levels, reaching more than 5 meters in some areas.
