Elias Sido: setting up settlements aims at Yazidi cultural eradication

After the Afrin occupation by the Turkish Forces operations are underway relentlessly by the Turkish Army sponsored by Qatari and Kuwaiti associations to build settlements in Afrin areas more specifically in Yazidi villages such as Shadira in the Sherawa District to house families of the mercenary groups affiliated to the Turkish Occupation Forces as well as Palestinians.

According to Human Rights Organization –Afrin –Syria, more than 750 Palestinian families were brought from different Syrian territories into Afrin Canton. 

Elias Sido member to the Yazid House in the Jazira Canton commented on the issue saying:'' demographic change was embarked upon since Afrin was occupied by Turkish Occupation Forces'', adding '' Turkey tries to put an end to Yazidism''. 

Sido indicated that Turkish Occupation State seeks to make use of the latest battles in Palestine to transfer the 1948 Palestinians living in Syria to Afrin, '' even the names of the Yazidi villages are all being changed and bringing in new peoples that with the passage of time would destroy the Yazidi history''.

Sido said Turkish Forces and mercenary groups are using every evil species of oppression against Yazidis enforcing them to even to go to mosques.

''Several Gulf States associations are taking side with Turkish Occupation State in it's operations of creating settlements in Afrin '' that corroborates their support to Turkey to create the sought demographic change, these bids are not confined just to Afrin rather extends to even Shengal after an agreement was concluded by Turkey with both the Iraqi Federal Government and the KRG'', Sido added.

''All this discharges into the policy of exterminating Yazidis and eventually the Kurdish people'', Sido concluded as calling on the International community and the human rights associations to take a firm position towards actions of the Turkish Occupation Forces.
