Al-Shahba mourns Internal Security Forces' member

Thousands of Afrin displaced and residents of al-Shahba canton bid farewell the corpse of a member of the Internal Security Forces, Ibrahim Ismail, who was martyred as a result of the Turkish shelling of al-Shahba canton, to his last resting place in the village of Um Hosh in the canton.

Today, thousands of Afrin displaced and al-Shahba people; Kurds, Arabs and Turkmens gathered in front of Avrin Hospital, located in Fafin district in al-Shahba canton, for the funeral of the martyr Ibrahim Ismail from the Arab component.

The funeral ceremony began with holding a minute of silence in tribute for the martyrs, then the Administrator of the Martyrs' Families Council in al-Shahba canton, Mohammed WeLo, delivered a speech in which he expressed condolences to the martyr's family, and said: "Thanks to the sacrifice of our brothers and sisters, we managed to protect ourselves and the great gains of our revolution."

Mohammed WeLo emphasized that the people of Afrin region are continuing to follow in the footsteps of the martyr Ibrahim Ismail until his goals of establishing a democratic and free society are achieved.

The Administrator in the Women’s Council for al-Shahba canton, Fatma Jemmo, condemned the massacres committed by the Turkish occupation against civilians.

Then, Sherin Suleiman, Member of the Democratic Society Training Committee for Afrin region, read the martyr's document and handed it over to his family, after which a convoy containing hundreds of cars set out to his hometown in the village of Um Hosh to be buried there.
