The Department's official website said on Saturday that the delegation is headed by Christopher Vivek, Responsible for the Syria File in the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and William Bo Pedersen, Chief Advisor for Relief and Humanitarian Aid in the Ministry.

The delegation was received by the Co-chairmanship of the External Relations Department, Abdel Karim Omar and Dania Ramadan, Vice-Presidents Fener Al-Kait and Abeer Eliya, in addition to the Member of the Administrative Body of the Department, Abdel Rahman Salman.

According to the site, during the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on the status quo in Syria in general and the areas of the Autonomous Administration in particular, in addition to the latest developments in the region, and the model of Autonomous Administration in managing cities and areas in north and east Syria.

The two sides also discussed many files and issues related to the region, most notably the urgency of the Autonomous Administration's participation in the political process, resolving the Syrian crisis in accordance with international decisions, and the security and economic challenges facing the Autonomous Administration.

'Water war'

According to the website, the co-chair of the Foreign Relations Department in the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria indicated that "Turkey continues its crimes and violations against the people in the region and is recently trying to use water as a weapon to make the people thirsty and pressure them by cutting off water on the Alouk station, threatening about a million residents of al-Hasakah and its surrounding, in addition to the catastrophic repercussions resulting from the Euphrates River withholding, which threatens the lives of millions of residents of the region."

'ISIS revival'

He noted that "the Turkish threats and attacks are to shake security and stability in the region and an attempt to revive ISIS again, in addition to its project for demographic change in the occupied areas."

'The camps'

According to the site, the meeting also drew attention to the humanitarian situation in the camps and the displaced and the area's residents depriving of humanitarian aid, especially after the UN decision to close the Tel Koçer border crossing (al-Yaroubiyya) as a result of a Russian-Chinese double veto, as the aid comes through Damascus and very little of it reaches the region.
