Killed and wounded in Israeli raids on Syria's coastal region

7 people were killed and injured in violent explosions that shook the coastal area of Syria, caused by Israeli raids

The SANA agency of the Damascus government said: "The Air Defense Units of the Syrian Arab Army, at dawn, responded to Israeli aggression on southwestern of Lattakia against certain points in the coastal area and dropped some rockets of aggression."

According to a Sanaa military source, " "At about 2:18 am today, the Israeli enemy carried out aerial aggression on southwestern of Lattakia, targeting some points in the coastal zone. Our air defense has tackled the rockets of aggression and shot down some of them."

The source added that "the Israeli aggression led to the martyrdom of a civilian and the injury of six others, including a child and his mother, on a preliminary basis, as well as some material losses, including a civilian plastic manufacturing facility."

Israel's most recent attack on Syrian territory took place late last April in Dameer area in the countryside of the capital, Damascus, and resulted in the wounding of 4 soldiers and material losses.
